I fan della famosa cantante Pink sono solitamente molto vicini alla loro star preferita, ma lo scorso anno, su Instagram, il tono di voce dei commenti è cambiato radicalmente, con attacchi anche molti duri pubblicati sul profilo Instagram dell’artista. Non si trattava delle solite e a ben vedere inevitabili critiche alle sue canzoni, ma di attacchi contro alcune sue scelte di madre. Nello specifico, la scelta di pubblicare online le foto dei suoi figli piccoli, di due anni e sette anni. Una scelta apparentemente innocua che però ha fatto innervosire molti dei suoi fan che non si sono trattenuti dal pubblicare senza filtri le loro opinioni con commenti del tipo “What kind of mother do you think you are?”, che tipo di madre pensi di essere?
Messaggi che l’hanno ferita, tanto che quando è intervenuta al The Ellen DeGeneres Show, non ha avuto dubbi nel definirli come un episodio di mum-shaming, cioè di insulto contro una mamma.
Se da un lato è vero che alcune opinioni non erano espresse in maniera proprio educata, dall’altro bisogna ammettere che la popstar un po’ certe critiche se le è andate a cercare, postando spesso foto online dei suoi figli, una delle quali ritraeva il più piccolo, di soli 2 anni, che giocava con un pellicano. Peccato che il bimbo fosse privo di pannolino, fatto che ha scatenato gli haters sui social. E la furia di mamma Pink, che non ha esitato a criticare la morbosità di chi ha fatto pure notare che il giovane sembrava circonciso.
Ne è nato un polverone che Pink non ha evitato di commentare durante il The Ellen DeGeneres Show, attaccando i suoi critici, colpevoli di accanirsi contro di lei. C’è però da dire che al contrario dei suoi figli, Pink ha ormai 39 anni e tutti gli strumenti per difendersi, o semplicemente ignorare, questi attacchi. L’artista ha preferito però concentrare l’attenzione sul bullismo nei suoi confronti, mostrando poca sensibilità sul fatto più importante: è corretto postare foto dei figli piccoli, nudi o meno? Soprattutto, è corretto farlo quando si ha la piena consapevolezza di darli in pasto a milioni di follower?
Sotto questo profilo, Pink non sembra aver compreso a pieno l’errore. La foto del bimbo col pellicano, per dire, è stata sì rimossa, ma ripostata poco dopo semplicemente oscurando i genitali dell’infante, come se fosse questo il problema. “Non me ne ero nemmeno accorta”, spiega la cantante, “Mi ero limitata a condividere un momento particolare. Viviamo in una fattoria. I miei figli sono spesso nudi. Anche io, talvolta”, ha dichiarato in diretta parlando con Ellen DeGeneres, quasi come se il problema fosse l’esposizione delle nudità del figlio e non lo sbatterlo in pasto ai social senza la sua volontà.
Eppure, il problema sembra riconoscerlo, dal momento che nella stessa trasmissione ha dichiarato la sua decisione di smettere di pubblicare foto dei figli o, più precisamente, della figlia: “Ha sette anni, ormai. Probabilmente è venuto il momento di smettere di esporla al mondo e lasciarle vivere il meglio della sua vita”. Singolare che non si ponga il problema per il secondogenito, ma quello che più colpisce è che la sua promessa non è stata rispettata e sfogliando il profilo Instagram di Pink è possibile notare altre foto, anche recenti, della sua prole. Il problema per Pink non è l’invasione della privacy a cui espone la sua famiglia, insomma, ma il fatto che qualcuno si permetta di criticare la sua voglia irrefrenabile di condividere immagini dei figli. Un problema che non colpisce solo la nota artista: un’altra mamma molto famosa che sembra incapace di resistere alla tentazione di mettere in mostra i figli è Gwyneth Paltrow.

Per la cronaca, la foto è ancora online su Instagram, con tanto di commenti, a dimostrazione che le critiche della figlia Apple sono rimaste inascoltate.
Un peccato per la giovane Apple che non sembra condividere con la madre la passione per la celebrità sui social. Il profilo Instagram della ragazza ha la privacy ristretta, e solo i suoi contatti possono vedere le immagini che posta, segno che alla sua privacy ci tiene. Al contrario della madre che, invece di proteggerla e assecondare i suoi leciti desideri, ha preferito non tenere conto della critica e lasciare l’immagine in bella vista, dandola in pasto ai suoi quasi sette milioni di follower e a tutti quelli che hanno voluto dare una sbirciata al profilo, anche incuriositi dal tam tam mediatico scatenato da questo posto.

Sfogliando i commenti di questi post salta subito all’occhio una questione che merita una riflessione. Sebbene una parte dei commentatori critichi, spesso in maniera poco elegante ed esagerata, la scelta dei genitori di abbandonarsi alle gioie dello sharenting, sono in tanti a sostenere l’opinione contraria, cioè che una madre ha il diritto di fare un po’ quello che vuole con le immagini della figlia minorenne. Un atteggiamento che non solo dimostra poco rispetto nei confronti dei figli, soprattutto quando questi hanno espresso chiaramente un desiderio di maggiore privacy, ma anche una poca conoscenza dei potenziali pericoli che si corrono nell’esporre pubblicamente immagini di minori. O, forse, un desiderio di popolarità tale da mettere le loro esigenze in secondo piano rispetto al successo che inevitabilmente ottengono questi scatti.
